Dewan Pers Gelar Workshop Peliputan Pemilu 2024

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Dewan Pers gelar Workshop Peliputan Pemilu 2024 di Provinsi kepulauan Babel, tepatnya di Novotel Hotel dan resort, Selasa (26/9/2023).

Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh KPU Provinsi Babel, Bawaslu Provinsi Babel, KPID, IJTI, JMSI, PWI Babel, SPS, AJI, SMSI, AMSI, PFI, ATVSI, Media Cetak dan Online serta Pers Kampus UBB.

Wakil ketua Dewan Pers Agung Dharmajaya mengucapkan terima kasih kepada narsum dari KPU dan Bawaslu Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang sudah hadir dalam acara workshop ini.

Menurutnya Dewan pers punya konsep salah satu suksesnya pelaksanaan pemilu tidak hanya dari penyelenggara pemilu KPU dan Bawaslu saja adapun Pers punya peran penting dalam suksesnya pemilu.

Belajar dari dua kali Pilpres dan Pilkada serentak 2019, suka tidak suka resikonya smpai hari ini masih berasa.

Salah satu yang mengangkat dan membumbui suasana seperti itu adalah teman-teman pers.

“Maka dari itu teman-teman Pers salah satu yang terlibat dalam mensukseskan pemilu sebelum atau selama pasca Pilpres dan Pilkada serentak 2024,” ungkap Agung.

Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa sebelum informasi disampaikan ke media, maka teman-teman pers wajib konfirmasi dulu ke Bawaslu dan KPU mana yg boleh mana yg tidak boleh di publikasikan.

Karena peran pers dalam ruang publik memberikan informasi yang akurat adalah salah satu peran paling krusial yang harus diemban oleh media selama pesta demokrasi.

“Kehandalan dan ke akurat informasi yang disampaikan oleh media dapat sangat mempengaruhi pemahaman publik, keputusan pemilih, dan integritas itu sendiri,” ujarnya.

Selanjutnya Muslim Ansori divisi hukum dan pengawasan KPU Provinsi Kepulauan Babel menyampaikan sangat membutuhkan teman-teman pers terkait informasi tentang tahapan pemilu 2024.

“Ia berharap informasi tentang tahapan pemilu bisa tersampaikan ke masyarakat Babel baik yang ada di kota maupun kabupaten,” ucap Muslim mewakili Ketua KPU Provinsi Kepulauan Babel.

Dikatakan Muslim bahwa KPU bisa menjadi informan bagi media yang akan memberikan informasi-informasi yang akurat sesuai dengan fakta.

‘Tujuannya tidak lain untuk mencerdaskan para pemilih-pemilih kita untuk Pemilu tahun 2024 nanti,” tuturnya.

Kemudian terkait berita yang Hoax tentang kepemiluan, teman-teman pers bisa langsung tanyakan kepada KPU dan KPU siap memberikan informasi sesuai dengan fakta dalam kegiatan-kegiatan tahapan Pemilu 2024.

“Sehingga diharapkan agar teman-teman pers bisa menyampaikan informasi tersebut ke masyarakat khususnya di Provinsi Babel,” ujarnya.

Disamping itu, Novrian Saputra selaku Anggota Bawaslu Provinsi Kepulauan Babel menyampaikan tentang hormati perbedaan pilihan jaga persaudaraan.

Apalagi sekarang sangat susah membedakan mana yang pers mana yang bukan pers, padahal sebenarnya membedakan nya sangat mudah.

“Kalau pers informasi yang diberikan melalui KEJ jurnalistik sedangkan yang bukan pers tidak melalui jurnalistik,” ungkapnya.

Dikatakannya inilah yang menjadi penyebab informasi yang diberikan banyak yang negatifnya atau hoax. (Yuko)
