PANGKALPINANG,Perkaranews – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu hadir memberikan sambutan kepada para atlet pra Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) dalam jamuan makan malam di Gedung Mahligai, Rumah Dinas Gubernur Kep. Babel, Jumat (18/8/2023) malam.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Pj. Gubernur Suganda berpesan agar para atlet, pelatih, dan official dapat menjunjung tinggi sportivitas, selama perhelatan Pra PON yang dilaksanakan di Pangkalpinang, 18-23 Agustus 2023. Menurutnya dengan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas, maka semangat untuk berkompetisi dengan baik akan tumbuh sehingga prestasi akan mudah diraih.
“Kepada para atlet, pelatih, official, saya pesankan agar tetap semangat, sejalan dengan semangat memperingati kemerdekaan untuk Indonesia Maju, serta tetap menjunjung tinggi sportivitas. Karena itulah yang membedakan olahragawan dengan yang bukan olahragawan, dan dengan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas maka semangat untuk berkompetisi dengan baik akan tumbuh, dari sanalah prestasi akan mudah kita raih,” ucapnya.
Bertindak selaku tuan rumah Pra PON Wilayah I, para atlet Kep. Babel akan berhadapan dengan kontingen DKI Jakarta, Lampung, Bengkulu, dan Sumatera Selatan. Ketua Pengurus Provinsi (Pengprov) PBSI Kep. Babel, Johan Daniel berharap Atlet Kep. Babel yang terdiri dari 5 putra dan 5 putri dapat berjuang semaksimal mungkin, sebab dirinya telah menyiapkan bonus kepada para atlet yang nantinya berhasil lolos seleksi PON.
“Kita berharap atlet dapat berjuang semaksimal mungkin, Pengprov. PBSI Kep. Babel sudah menyiapkan bonus sebesar Rp.20.000.000 untuk para atlet yang lolos seleksi PON,” ungkapnya.
Bertindak selaku tuan rumah, kontingen Kep. Babel tidak hanya dituntut untuk sukses secara prestasi, melainkan juga sukses sebagai tuan rumah. Hal itu menjadi perhatian Pj. Gubernur Suganda, kepada para atlet kontingen Kep. Babel dirinya berpesan untuk menjaga nama baik Kep. Babel dengan bertanding sportif.
“Saya titip, mari kita jaga nama baik Bangka Belitung, dengan cara bermain sportif, junjung tinggi kejujuran, semoga dengan begitu, kita dapat meraih hasil yang terbaik, kita harap olahraga di Babel khususnya bulu tangkis semakin maju,” pungkasnya.
Jamuan makan malam dihadiri Kepala Dinas Parbudkepora Prov. Kep. Babel, Perwakilan PBSI Pusat, Pengprov. PBSI Kep. Babel, serta seluruh atlet, pelatih, dan official dari kontingen pra PON wilayah I. Terlihat antusiasme para atlet dalam kegiatan tersebut, sebelum keesokan harinya para atlet akan bertemu di lapangan tanding untuk memperebutkan tiket menuju perhelatan PON mendatang. (Yuko)
