PANGKALPINANG,Perkaranews – Wali Kota Pangkalpinang, Dr. H. Maulan Aklil atau yang akrab disapa Bang Molen lepas ratusan atlet Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) VI yang akan berlangsung di Kabupaten Bangka Barat. Pada pelepasan tersebut, Wako Molen memberi semangat kepada seluruh atlet kontingen Kota Pangkalpinang di halaman Kantor Wali Kota Pangkalpinang, Senin (14/8/2023).
Wako Molen mengingatkan sejarah Porprov tahun sebelumnya Kota Pangkalpinang pernah meraih juara umum pada Porprov III tahun 2010 di Kabupaten Bangka Selatan dan Porprov IV tahun 2014 di Belitung Timur. Selain itu pernah meraih runner-up juga pada Porprov I di Kabupaten Bangka tahun 2004, Porprov II di Kabupaten Belitung tahun 2006, dan Porprov V di Kabupaten Bangka Tengah.
“Maka pada Porprov VI tahun 2023 ini di Kabupaten Bangka Barat kontingen Kota Pangkalpinang dengan penuh harapan dan ridho Allah SWT dapat meraih juara umum kembali dengan target perolehan medali 66 emas 55 perak 63 perunggu,” ujar Molen.
Selain itu, tambah Molen, bentuk apresiasi Pemerintah Kota Pangkalpinang juga terhadap para peserta Porprov VI telah menyediakan dana sebesar 6 Milliar sebagai bonus perolehan medali bagi atlet yang berprestasi dalam event Porprov VI tahun ini.
“Selama masa COVID-19 kegiatan olahraga vakum baru 2 tahun terakhir aktivitas olahraga PGK tersenyum agik, banyak event-event olahraga bisa kita laksanakan. Oleh karenanya mohon doa restu dari lapisan masyarakat Kota Pangkalpinang agar seluruh kontingen Kota Pangkalpinang selalu diberi kekuatan dan kesehatan hingga berakhirnya kegiatan Porprov VI tahun 2023 di Kabupaten Bangka Barat”, harap Molen.
Diketahui Porprov VI di Kabupaten Bangka Barat akan berlangsung hingga 31 Agustus tahun 2023. Wako Molen pesankan agar semua atlet, pelatih dan official meluruskan niat agar tulus berjuang memberikan yang terbaik bagi Kota Pangkalpinang.
