PANGKALPINANG,Perkaranews – Festival Sepak Bola Usia Dini PGK 2023 memperebutkan Piala Wali Kota Pangkalpinang secara resmi di buka, Sabtu (15/7/2023) di Stadion Depati Amir.
Kegiatan dibuka langsung oleh Kepala Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) yang mewakili Wali Kota Pangkalpinang.
Diketahui pertandingan ini diikuti 67 klub yang terdiri dari 19 klub U-10, 26 klub U-12, dan 22 klub U-14.
Kepala Dispora Pangkalpinang, Manto menyebut, kompetisi usia dini merupakan kompetisi yang sangat penting dilakukan sebab diharapkan melalui ajang dapat ini melahirkan bibit unggul pemain sepak bola berbakat.
“Tanpa adanya kompetisi usia dini ini kita jangan berharap kita akan mendapatkan pemain yang berkualitas, ” ujarnya.
Di momen ini juga Manto mengajak para atlet dan orang tua agar menjadikan kompetisi ini sebagai penunjang keberhasilan dalam meniti karir dibidang olahraga. Apalagi saat ini olahraga khususnya sepak bola sudah menjadi sebuah industri yang menguntungkan.
“Mungkin adek-adek dan ibu-ibu lebih membuka wawasan dan pemikirannya bahwa olahraga untuk masa depan anak-anaknya tidak ada lagi istilah percuma jadi atlet. Hilangkanlah image itu karena sekarang sepak bola sudah jadi industri, jadi masa depan anak-anak kita sudah terjamin, ” jelas Manto.
Selain itu dia juga berpesan agar seluruh atlet dapat menjunjung tinggi sportivitas dan kerja sama saat bertanding.
“Kepada para atlet dan pelatih untuk menjaga sportivitas dalam melaksanakan pertandingan. Jangan sampai ada percekcokan dan perkelahian, ” tegasnya. (Yuko)
