Siswa SMKN 1 Simpangkatis Ikuti Sosialisasi Pendidikan Politik bagi Pemilih Pemula

SIMPANGKATIS,PERKARANEWS – Sekitar 100 siswa/siswi SMKN 1 Simpangkatis mengikuti kegiatan Sosialisasi Pendidikan Politik bagi Pemilih Pemula yang digelar oleh Badan Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik (Bakesbangpol) Kabupaten Bangka Tengah (Bateng) di Gedung SMKN 1 Simpangkatis, Desa Terak, Rabu (22/11/2023).

Wakil Bupati Bangka Tengah, Era Susanto, hadir membuka kegiatan sosialisasi ini. Dalam sambutannya, ia menyampaikan bahwa tahun 2024 merupakan tahun dengan momentum politik karena akan diselenggarakan Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) di Indonesia dan para pemilih pemula merupakan bagian penting dalam Pesta Demokrasi tersebut.

“Saya sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan ini. Generasi milenial yang menjadi pemilih pemula perlu ditanamkan pendidikan politik agar memahami bagaimana roda demokrasi dapat berkelanjutan dalam melahirkan para pemimpin bangsa Indonesia kedepannya,” tutur Wabup Era.

Menurut Era, generasi milenial memiliki potensi yang besar bagi kekuatan politik. Dengan demikian minimnya ketertarikan dan kepedulian generasi muda yang berpartisipasi dalam politik, karena berbagai alasan, perlu mendapatkan pencerahan dan sosialisasi.

Wabup Era juga berpesan kepada para peserta sosialisasi agar menjadi pemilih yang cerdas dan menggunakan hak suara dengan hati nurani dalam pemilu yang akan datang.

“Anak-anakku semua, silakan ikuti sosialisasi ini dengan baik, gunakan hak pilih di pemilu nanti sesuai dengan hati nurani. Jadilah generasi penerus yang membawa negara ini ke arah yang lebih baik,” pungkas Era.

Sosialisasi ini menghadirkan pemateri antara lain Sabpri Aryanto selaku Anggota KPU Bateng Divisi Sosdiklih, Parmas, dan SDM, Hatika anggota Bawaslu Bateng, dan Samsul Komar selaku Kepala Bakesbangpol Bateng.

Saat ditemui, Samsul Komar menyebutkan bahwa kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan para pelajar pemilih pemula, serta meningkatkan partisipasi pemilih pemula untuk menyukseskan Pemilu.

“Ini bekal bagi para pelajar karena (hampir) semuanya nanti di Pemilu 2024 merupakan pemilih pemula. Kita berharap mereka dapat berperan dalam penyelenggaraan Pemilu yang sukses dengan menggunakan hak suara mereka secara bertanggung jawab,” ucap Kepala Bakesbangpol Bateng. (Yuko)
