PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Perusahaan Umum Daerah (perumda) Air Minum Tirta Pinang mulai kemarin melakukan pemasangan pompa tambahan di Instalasi Pengolahan Air (IPA) Bacang yang melayani pelanggan Kecamatan Bukit Intan, Minggu (8/10/2023).
Hal ini diungkapkan Plt Direktur PDAM Tirta Pinang untuk mengatasi penurunan debit air baku kolong bacang akibat kemarau dan akan berdampak pada wilayah pelayanan kecamatan bukit intan selama pekerjaan berlangsung.
“Penurunan debit air baku ini lumayan tinggi mencapai 5 meter untuk kolong Bacang. Sementara 3 sumber air baku kita hanya mengandalkan air hujan”, ungkap DR dr Masagus M Hakim M.Kes.
Ia juga menjelaskan berdasarkan analisa dari bagian perencanaan dan produksi perumda air minum tirta pinang 3 sumber air baku kita masih mencukupi untuk menghadapi musim kemarau sampai akhir bulan oktober ini.
“Beberapa upaya kita yaitu menambah/memajukan pipa hisap di intake kolong kacang pedang dan penambahan pompa dorong agar produksi air tetap mencukupi karena penurunan muka air yang cukup tinggi serta mengoperasikan intake kolong pedindang yang sekarang ini dalam pekerjaan normalisasi atau pendalaman sehingga air kolong mengalami kekeruhan yang sangat tinggi,” tegasnya.
Plt. Direktur PDAM Tirta Pinang meminta maaf kepada semua pelanggan atas terganggunya pasokan air bersih dan berharap bisa menghemat penggunaan air.
“Kami mohon maaf kepada pelanggan terhadap situasi ini,dan kami juga meminta kepada pelanggan untuk menghemat penggunaan air dan menampung air bersih,” tutupnya. (Yuko)
