Belum Magang tapi Sudah Siap, Polman Negeri Babel Gelar Sosialisasi untuk 175 Mahasiswa

BANGKA, PERKARANEWS.COM – Dalam rangka mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi program kuliah praktik kerja lapangan (magang), Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung (Polman Babel) menggelar kegiatan sosialisasi di Gedung Aula Kampus, Rabu (08/10/2025).

 

Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh sekitar 175 mahasiswa dari program studi Sarjana Terapan atau Diploma IV yang akan melaksanakan magang pada Februari 2026 mendatang. Melalui sosialisasi ini, mahasiswa dibekali informasi penting agar dapat mempersiapkan diri sejak dini, termasuk menentukan perusahaan tujuan magang yang sesuai dengan kompetensi mereka.

Bertindak sebagai pemateri utama, Kepala Unit Penunjang Akademik Pengembangan Karier dan Kewirausahaan Polman Babel, Harwadi, S.S.T., M.Ed., memberikan penjelasan rinci mengenai persyaratan dan tahapan pelaksanaan magang. Dalam pemaparannya, mahasiswa dibagi ke dalam dua klaster berdasarkan kategori perusahaan. Klaster 1 mencakup perusahaan BUMN, internasional, dan multinasional dengan syarat IPK minimal tertentu, tidak pernah mendapat surat peringatan selama perkuliahan, serta telah mengumpulkan buku proyek akhir,” tuturnya.

 

Sementara itu, Klaster 2 diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa yang melaksanakan magang di perusahaan lokal, startup, atau CV dengan tujuan untuk menyesuaikan kesiapan dan potensi masing-masing mahasiswa dengan kebutuhan industri yang beragam,” lanjutnya.

 

Ia menuturkan kegiatan magang bukan hanya sekadar kewajiban akademik, tetapi juga sarana penting untuk menerapkan dan mengembangkan ilmu yang telah dipelajari selama kuliah.

 

“Mahasiswa perlu menginternalisasi sikap profesional dan budaya kerja yang sesuai dengan dunia usaha dan industri,” bebernya.

 

Lebih lanjut, pentingnya menyalurkan mahasiswa magang untuk mengenal lingkungan kerja sebagai bekal setelah lulus kuliah dengan pengalaman langsung di lapangan akan menjadi nilai tambah dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang berkualitas,” jelasnya.

 

Selain pemaparan materi, kegiatan ini juga menjadi ajang tanya jawab interaktif antara mahasiswa dan pihak kampus. Banyak mahasiswa berperan aktif menanyakan proses seleksi perusahaan, sistem penilaian, hingga tips menghadapi wawancara magang,” terangnya.

 

Perihal ini, sosialisasi mampu memotivasi mahasiswa agar lebih siap menghadapi dunia industri. Dengan pembekalan yang matang, mereka dapat beradaptasi dengan cepat serta menunjukkan performa terbaik selama menjalani masa magang,” sambungnya.
